Project Manager

Part-time (10 hours per week,) Hybrid-role based in south London.

Pay: £15ph

This role is for a Project Manager (with Personal Assistant elements) to work alongside Lucia Blayke on her diverse range of LGBTQ+ focused businesses and projects, with some occasional light assistance on personal and daily tasks.

About Lucia:

Lucia Blayke is an internationally known founder, activist and media producer, she has appeared in Forbes, CNN, BBC News, Channel 4, Vogue and more. She believes in freedom and equality and is known for founding London Trans+ Pride in 2019.

She is currently setting up an umbrella company that will firstly encompass Transpire Talent (the UK’s first trans+ recruitment agency) and Transvision (trans + non-binary music/nightlife events.) She has plans to start new businesses under this umbrella company and expand into multi-media production, such as documentaries, online content, podcasts and more.

Her main focus at the minute is to create constant and stable revenue streams to support the umbrella company, so it can expand and maximise its global social impact.

Lucia is neurodiverse with ADHD and Dyspraxia, she is a talented spokesperson and has a very creative mind, but she struggles a lot with focus and organisational tasks, both professionally and personally. It is important that the Project Manager is prepared to work alongside someone with such a fast-paced and imaginative way of thinking.

The role:

The position is part-time (10 hours) Project Manager with some light Personal Assistant elements. This role is hybrid and split into 7 hours in-person with Lucia in South London (preferably on monday,) and then 3 hours remote work on either a Thursday or Friday.

You may also be expected to attend and assist at one or two events per month, but will usually get a month's notice for this and will be paid your hourly rate at the event.

You’ll be overseeing that projects like Transpire Talent and Transvision run smoothly and will be facilitating for Lucia to focus on developing new initiatives and representing the company as a founder. You’ll also be reaching out to new clients and helping Lucia establish new businesses, initiatives and projects.

She is looking for someone who would like to grow alongside herself and the umbrella company, with potential for full-time work as the company expands and becomes more successful.

GENERAL TASKS (90% of the role:)

  • Managing calendar and schedule 

  • Breaking projects down into phases and entering into diary

  • Optimising workflows to improve outcomes

  • Liaising with clients and stakeholders (mostly via Email and Zoom meetings)

  • Booking staff, transportation and logistics

  • Sending invoices and paying staff from company bank account

  • Reaching out to new clients and venues

  • Managing Social Media

  • Co-planning of nightlife events 

  • Support Lucia with occasional admin tasks.

Light PA Elements (approx. 10% of the role:)

This might include things like:

  • Booking doctor’s appointments

  • Ordering daily-life essentials

  • Occasional reminders for personal tasks

This kind of support allows Lucia to stay focused on running the company and pursuing its wider mission.

about you:

Key Skills:

  • Organisational and Time-Keeping Skills (Google Calendar, Trello, etc.)

  • Strong written communication with excellent spelling and grammar

  • Remains calm under pressure

  • Awareness of queer culture and values

  • Proactive in generating and executing ideas for revenue streams

  • Adaptability, as we will be working in a diverse range of industries

Desirable, but non-essential Skills:

  • Experience in Graphic Design and/or Video Editing softwares (Adobe Suite is great!)

  • Working with press and experience with press releases
